after leaving madikeri we had to go back to bangalore to pickup linda's ipod. on the way we again visited our friends in the tibetan settlements. this time all the monks were aleady back and the monastery was packed full. again we couldnt find any accomodations because all the people that went to kala-chaka apparantly decided to come back and stay at sera. so again our friends jampa and kunphel helped us and this time we stay at jampa's room. when we were with jampa, he took us to a thangka painter to see how he works, which was very interesting.
